Korean actress Youn Yuh-jung had a witty retort during a media conversation after winning her first Best Supporting Actress Oscar for “Minari,” when asked how Brad Pitt felt.
“I didn’t feel it. I’m not a dog, ”she replied.
Yuh-jung said Brad Pitt announcing her name was something she found too good to be true.
“I couldn’t believe he announced my name, so I had a power failure for a few seconds,” she said.
Youn Yuh-jung became the first Korean actor to win an Oscar. She had also won a BAFTA award recently for her performance in “Minari”.
Meanwhile, the 93rd Academy Awards will go down in history as a ceremony that celebrated inclusiveness like never before.
From an all-black production team nominated for Best Picture, to Asian actors winning the trophy, to deaf and mute presenter Marlee Matlin – the Oscars this year made room for life throughout. its diversity.
The awards themselves were hardly surprising. Chloe Zhao would have won the award for best director and her film “Nomadland” won the award for best film.
