It has not been easy for all of us to make peace with the fact that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer between us. But hey, it’s his birthday today, and let’s not remember how he went, but let’s revisit the times and see how he lived. While the man gave brilliant performances and managed to create an audience in no time, he was also part of some soothing tunes. With incredible films, moving albums.

As he made his way through Bollywood with Shuddh Desi Romance, he left us with Fikar Not. Sushant Singh Rajput’s song list is a gold mine. Today, as we remember the star on her birthday, we list 5 of her songs you must listen to as a tribute.

Ironically, Amit Trivedi was the man behind many hit songs that had Sushant Singh Rajput. Manjha by Kai Po Che is a song of hope and mending for the broken. It speaks to the listener of an unknown wavelength and for us it’s a reminder of when we first saw SSR on the big screen.

Ruan Ruan from Sonchiriya with Sushant Singh Rajput talks about a bird that flies to unknown lands and this number strikes us more now. Sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Vishal Bharadwaj, Varun Grover’s lyrics are haunting in the truest sense of the word. Sonchiriya didn’t get the audience it deserves, but the album happens to be criminally underestimated. Give this one a chance.

Another number of Amit Trivedi and sung by him too. Namo Namo from Kedarnath feels like God himself resided in the studio that day. A track that is worth the creeps and of course Sushant Singh Rajput on screen climbing the heights of Kedarnath temple. There cannot be a single soul who does not love Namo Namo.

Shuddh Desi Romance’s album was stress reliever in every sense of the word, and Sachin Jigar composed Gulabi was there to paint the city pink. Gulabi had a contemporary vibe, the perfect blend of culture and pop, just like the vibe from the movie. Sushant Singh Rajput and Vaani Kapoor romanticizing through song about the scenic spots of Jaipur was a beauty.

Chhichhore is the way the world will forever remember Sushant Singh Rajput. A man full of zest, optimism and all the good vibes with him. Woh Din is all about remembering the past and remembering the perfect days we had. Aren’t we just doing that now? “Naa kisi manzil ki fikar thi | Zindagi jeene ki umar thi | Dosti aur doston se udhaar ke din thhe ”, Arijit Singh ft. Pritam says a lot here.

Let us know which one is your favorite in the comments section below.
