Kristin Fisher, Fox News correspondent in the White House since 2019, announced that she was leaving the network.
She made the announcement on Special report with Bret Baier, saying at anchor, “This is my last live photo on my last day at Fox News and I had an amazing run.”
She didn’t say what she would do next. But according to a source close to her plans, Fisher will travel to CNN to cover space as a correspondent. A CNN spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Reporting from the North Lawn of the White House, she said, “I started 6 years ago on the early morning weekend shift. I’ve come all the way to the White House, which is something that has been at the top of my career bucket list since I was little. But I just realized that there are a few other things on this list that I would like to try to tick off. “
She continued by “thanking Fox for trusting me with this pace and giving me so many opportunities.” And Bret, it was an absolute pleasure working with you, the entire White House team and everyone on the Special report the team too.
Fisher worked with Peter Doocy, who was named the network’s White House correspondent in January after the network announced that John Roberts would move to a daytime co-anchor role.
