Earlier today, the 93rd Academy Awards took place in Los Angeles and everyone has been talking about it ever since. From Nomadland winning ‘Best Picture’ to Chloe Zhao taking a historic victory with her Academy Award – a lot will be remembered in the history of these awards. The Academy also honored deceased artists, including Irrfan Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Bhanu Athaiya.

Today we’re going to talk about the time when Irrfan opened up about his Oscar trophy and revealed how he wouldn’t keep it in the bathroom.

The Angrezi Medium actor passed away last year and was not only a brilliant artist but also a human being. Irrfan Khan was undergoing treatment for a colon infection that led to neuroendocrine cancer and was also on hiatus from the movies.

Well, he was not only a popular name in Bollywood, but also in the West. The Hindi Medium actor has done an incredible job in Hollywood, including films like Slumdog Millionaire, Life Of Pi and Jurassic World, to name a few.

In 2017, during the broadcast of Architectural Digest, speaking of his home in Mumbai, Irrfan Khan was asked where he would keep his Oscars when he won one.

In response to this question, the Life Of Pi actor said, “So many awards mean so little, but… it’s one award that would change everything; this can open up all the choices to an actor. I know I won’t keep her in the bathroom… If she ever came, she would come with her own place. He would find his own place.

Meanwhile, the Memoriam video with Stevie Wonder’s song ‘As’ in the background, graced the talents who bid farewell last year. The Academy paid tribute to them and thanked them for walking on Earth. Irrfan Khan, an Indian actor, was also a well-known face in Hollywood. Having starred in films like Life Of A Pi and Inferno, his death has also been mourned by the West.
