Just as the film industry was showing signs of recovery from the massive economic impact of the 2020 lockdown and learning to adapt to the pandemic by returning to work and showing movies in theaters, a new spike in cases of COVID-19 left him panting. breathe again.

Many new releases, all set to grace the big screen, have now been postponed and one of them is veteran producer Anand Pandit’s labor of love, “Chehre”. Rumy Jafry director suffered many delays due to the pandemic and after overcoming them the film was set for release in April amid a growing media buzz and intense audience curiosity.

According to Pandit, “The film created so much buzz because of its star cast, great international locations and an obviously dramatic and suspenseful theme. We’ve been approached by OTT platforms who want to stream “ Chehre ” with a big commercial first, but it’s a larger-than-life movie that deserves the big screen. That’s why I’d like to wait until the current COVID crisis is over to give the film the theatrical release it deserves. I am a patient man and an optimist too!

The film is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. It also stars Krystle D’Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Raghubir Yadav.
