Last month, he shared on the microblogging site that he hosts a charity show for doctors and nurses.
In January of this year, Vir Das spoke about finding a balance between stand-up comedy and acting. He said, “I have to balance the two careers. Standing up (comedy) takes time, so when I act it should be an interesting role. “As an actor, Das has acted in Bollywood films such as Delhi Belly, Go Goa Gone, Mastizaade and Badmaash Company.
Job wise, Das has been hired to play a key role in Judd Apatow’s upcoming director, The Bubble. Besides Vir Das, the show also boasts of a huge comedy cast including Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal and Peter Serafinowicz.
The feature film is a comedy about a group of actors and actresses stuck in a pandemic bubble inside a hotel trying to complete a studio franchise film. Speaking of which, Vir Das said: “I’ve been shooting for this for a while now and I’m very excited to be a part of this mega comedy project. Everyone on this cast is extremely funny and we’re doing something special ”.
