Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s 83 are finally gearing up for a theatrical release. Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibasish Sarkar, seemingly relaxed and anxiously awaiting the coming fiscal year with several films in the works with Neeraj Pandey.
According to the latest reports, Shibasish and Neeraj, who has worked on several films over the years, are now collaborating on four films this year. Pandey is well known for directing films like A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, and many other films.
Speaking about films with Neeraj Pandey, Shibasish Sarkar told Pinkvilla, “We have several films aligned with Neeraj, the biggest being Vikram Vedha. We plan to make an official announcement on this very soon. We also remake the Malayalam movie, Ishq, then collaborate with Neeraj on his own director, Chanakya with Ajay Devgn.
While the CEO of Reliance Entertainment declined to reveal the cast of Neeraj Pandey’s Vikram Vedha, he assured that an official announcement was underway. Besides the three aforementioned films, the two are collaborating on another film. Shibasish said, “We’re making a movie with Vidyut Jammwal, which will be directed by Tinu (Suresh Desai, director of Rustom). It will go into production around July and August. “
The report further claims that Reliance Entertainment is also venturing into the digital and television world, with a plethora of content to come.
Meanwhile, aside from Neeraj Pandey’s Vikram Vedha, Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated 83 film is confirmed for release on June 4, while Sooryavanshi does not yet have an official release date. According to commercial buzz, the Akshay Kumar star will hit theaters on April 2 with all stakeholders on track to close in terms of the release.
