Tamil star Vijay Sethupati announced India’s first mud racing film titled Muddy, with a motion poster he unveiled on Saturday. The film will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

“Happy to share the official poster for MUDDY, INDIA’S FIRST MUD RACING FILM. #muddymovie, ”Sethupathi wrote with the Facebook announcement.

Muddy stars Yuvan, Ridhaan Krishna, Anusha Suresh and Amit Sivadas Nair, with Harish Peradi, IM Vijayan and Renji Panicker in key roles. The film is directed by newbie Dr Pragabhal, who has done a lot of research on the subject of off-road mud racing for the adventure thriller.

“I trained the main players in off-road racing, we didn’t use dupes (duplicates). I wanted guys who were adventurous and willing to put the time and energy into the film, ”says Pragabhal.

“The biggest challenge ahead of me has been to introduce a sport like mud racing to viewers without losing its thrill and punch,” adds the filmmaker.

The film’s tech crew includes KGF Ravi Basrur’s fame for music, Ratsasan San Lokesh’s fame for editing, colorist Ranga, and Hollywood fame KG Ratheesh for cinematography.

The teaser will be released on February 26.
