TV Producer Created ‘The Munsters’ and ‘Mary Tyler Moore Show’ Was 85 – Deadline

Allan Burns, a television producer and screenwriter best known for co-creating and co-writing television sitcoms The Munsters, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda, has passed away. He was 85 years old.

Actor Ed Asner, who played gruff Lou Grant on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, sent a tweet acknowledging the passing.
