Just before the lockdown made its way into our lives and the new normal began, Tiger Shroff had just announced the sequel to his first pad. Heropanti. While the announcement poster sparked its fans who couldn’t contain their excitement then, had to go through a dry phase with no update on the film afterward. If the latest industry speculation is to pass, there’s finally an update and much to fans’ dismay, that’s not positive. It looks like the movie is being pushed back from its planned schedule and here’s everything you need to know about the same.
Heropanti 2 had caught the attention of the masses when it was announced that the film was due to premiere in December and was due to be shot in 9 countries around the world. The film funded by Tiger Shroff mentor Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan will play Tara Sutaria. But according to reports, nothing for the manufacturers is going as planned.
If the information from Bollywood Hungama is to get through, the directors were not even able to complete the recognition of the film. Thanks to the COVID-19 epidemic. A source close to the development said, “The film was to be shot across the world, but due to the new variant of the Coronavirus; the manufacturers were not even able to complete their reconnaissance of the filming locations. It’s all a waiting scenario for the film right now and the directors will be working out a new timeline once the global Covid 19 scenario is under control.
The source also added that Tiger Shroff Heropanti 2 not only faced delays due to the pandemic, but the script is also taking longer than expected. “The script for the film has also taken longer than expected, and the writing department is putting the finishing touches on it. In the meantime, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has started working on Bachchan Pandey, which is more of a test shoot for him under Akshay Kumar’s experience and he will implement a similar filming strategy on Heropanti 2 too, ”added the source
All of this together led to a delay for Heropanti 2 which will probably go on floors now in March of this year. “I hope we should start before March. We all expect the situation to be a little better because traveling to places like the UK, and the US is a bit risky at times like these. There is also the possibility of a change in some of the filming locations already decided. A new schedule will be released soon, as the idea is to complete the film with the unit all at once in multiple locations, ”said a source associated with the film.
