The Unloved, Part 87: Gerontophilia

This monthslice of The Unlovedhas long paid homage to one of the world’s most intrepid filmmakers. Bruce labruce has been synonymous with pushing boundaries and taking risks for most of my life, and it was high time that we paid tribute to it.

His new movie “Saint-Narcisse” may be his best work ever, but I wanted to pay tribute to the first time he tried to cross the aisle so to speak, to do something that the world of independent cinema could digest. Of course, it was heavily derided and then abandoned. Nut, I’m here to remind everyone that this, and its creator, is worth more than your time.
