The logline for the new David Cronenberg film is bananas

New Cronenberg films are always something to celebrate.

It’s been seven years since we had a new David Cronenberg movie, but it looks like a new feature is on the horizon. It was reported by KFTV (above Daily screen) that the next project for the director is up to date Crimes of the future.

If this title sounds familiar, it should. One of Cronenberg’s first films was also called that … could this be a remake of his own earlier forays into the cinema?

According to The film stagewas the earlier movie “sIn 1997 a mad dermatologist searching for his mentor after a failed cosmetic invention killed the entire population of sexually mature women.“”

Sounds crazy and fun.

Filming will begin this summer in Greece, said actor Viggo Mortenson GQ he would reunite with the director for a role. We don’t have any more solid details than this, producer Robert Lantos told The film stage, “I’m looking forward to returning to Greece to do another film with Argonauts. It’s been 14 years since we shot Fleeting pieces in Athens, Hydra and Mitilini, an experience from which I have loving and positive souvenirs. Athens is the perfect place for this Crimes of the futureas it is a bespoke tailoring for David Cronenberg’s unique vision of a future that blends with the past. ”
