The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic has hit the entertainment industry hard. Several actors have reportedly tested positive for the virus. According to a recent report, actor Kush Shah, who plays Goli in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, had contracted the virus. Now an official statement has been released on his health.
Kush Shah was not the first TMKOC actor to test for COVID-19. Mandar Chandwadkar and Mayur Vakani, who play the role of Bhide and Sunderlal, have reportedly tested positive for the virus. But two weeks ago, the two tested negative and can’t wait to get back to filming.
Now, an official statement has been released by Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s team clarifying that Kush Shah Aka Goli and 3 other crew members, infected with COVID-19, were immediately quarantined in their home. They are all now in good health.
The official statement from the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah says, “With reference to several reports on Goli and 3 other TMKOC crew members who tested positive for COVID19, we would like to clarify that these individuals had been tested more than week and were at home in quarantine. To date, none of them show any symptoms and they are all in good health. We thank everyone for their concern. As always, we promise to continue to spread positivity through humor and laughter and urge you to do the same. Meanwhile, keep watching your favorite TMKOC show and watch the animated version on Sony Yay. “
The clarification comes as a sigh of relief for all the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans who were worried about them.
