Suriya BAT Allu Arjun to become Best Southern Actor for Soorarai Pottru vs. Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo

The 2020 Southern Best Actor is none other than the dashing Suriya for his portrayal of Maara in Soorarai Pottru. He beat Allu Arjun by a considerable margin.
Speaking of the poll results, around 56% of voters praised Nedumaaran Rajangam’s performance of Suriya. Last year’s winner, Allu Arjun for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, follows him with 33% of the vote. Fahad Faasil got 4% of the vote for his portrayal of a small motivational speaker in Trance. Prithviraj is tied with Dulquer Salmaan at 3% of the vote for Ayyapanum Koshiyum and Kannum Kannum Kollaithaal respectively. Sharwanand, however, only got 1% of the vote. In an interview with India Today, Suriya opened up about her character Maara by saying, “Since Soorarai Pottru is a research-based script, we were aware of building the story without sudden leaps.
