Superstore’s Bo & Cheyenne spinoff doesn’t move forward with NBC – fidgetcube

Just days after Cloud 9 closed its doors for good, Hypermarket The Bo & Cheyenne couple’s journey also ended on NBC.

The spin-off of co-executive producers Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu, which Deadline learned of exclusively in December, is not progressing with the network. The spin-off would have followed Cheyenne from Nichole Sakura and her beau, Bo played by Johnny Pemberton.

“Unfortunately, yesterday NBC informed us that they are not moving forward with the ‘Superstore’ spin-off,” Kyle told, who made the front page Friday. “So it’s just going to have to live on in our hearts and on my hard drive.”

Creator Justin Spitzer told Deadline before Hypermarket finale that the spin-off would focus more on the couple’s home life with their child Harmonica, as opposed to Cheynne’s time at Cloud 9 or Sturgis & Sons, the hardware store in which she ends up with Mark McKinney and Mateo’s Glenn. of Nico Santos at the end of the playoffs. When asked about the fallout, Spitzer didn’t get an overly promising update.

“Where is it, I really don’t know,” he said. “Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu wrote a really, really funny script that the network has and it would be great if it finds life on NBC or Peacock, but I just don’t know.

Hypermarket ran for six seasons ended in a two-part final on Thursday. America Ferrera returned as Amy Sosa for the final farewell filled with happy endings and Easter eggs for fans.
