Actress Sudha Chandran, who has worked extensively in several industries, including film and television, mourns the loss of her father KD Chandran. The actress’ father died in Mumbai at the age of 86 from a heart attack.
Confirming the same to Aaj Tak, Sudha Chandran revealed that her father suffered from dementia. He was admitted to Criti Care Hospital in Mumbai on May 12. On May 16, he took his last breath at 10 a.m.
KD Chandran has worked in films including Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, China Gate, Junoon Pukar, Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon !, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Koi … Mil Gaya among others. The actor has also been a part of several television shows.
Sudha Chandran is a well-known star. She is an established dancer of Bharatnatyam. Popularly known for her role as Ramola Sikand in Kaahin Kissii Roz, she played Yamini in Naagin 1, 2 and 3, Chitradevi in Deivam Thandha Veedu, the Tamil remake of Star Plus Saath Nibhana Saathiya. She is currently the presenter of Dangal TV’s Crime Alert series.
In 9185, she was congratulated with the National Film Award – Special Jury Award for the film Telugu Mayuri based on her life.
