SS Rajamouli RRR’s upcoming period drama starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn is one of the highly anticipated films in 2021. As fans eagerly await the release of the films, now digital post-release in all languages and the film’s satellite rights were sold at a historic price.
Previous reports have revealed that Jayantilal Gada bagged the satellite and digital rights to the upcoming period drama from SS Rajamouli for a whopping Rs 475 crore. The deal also covers theatrical rights to the film.
Now, the latest report from Pinkvilla reveals that the Zee Group has acquired the satellite and digital rights for all languages for RRR from Jayatilal Gada. A source said: “Bahubali has been successful across all mediums – theatrical, television, digital – and the business expects the same from RRR as well. The manufacturers sold RRR’s post-release satellite and digital rights (all languages) to Zee Group for a whopping sum in the order of Rs 325 crore, making it the biggest post-release deal of all. time. The satellite and digital rights were transferred by Jayatilal Gada to Zee Group. “
The report further claims that the producers of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR have officially sold all rights – from theater to digital, satellite and music. Producers are said to have earned a huge table profit of around Rs 450 crore. Therefore, the total pre-release income is expected to be in the order of Rs 800 crore, which is considered the largest ever achieved by a producer in Indian film history.
However, it now remains to be seen whether the actors who acquired the rights to the film manage to recoup their investment following the release of SS Rajamouli’s RRR film.
