According to NY PopsUp, Rudin made the decision several weeks ago to make way for an “artist-led” effort.

In a statement originally provided to The New York Times and confirmed by Deadline, NYPops Up said, “Since its inception, NY PopsUp’s goal has been to enable a group of brilliant artists to program and direct a multi-disciplinary program of many. month, statewide festival that would bring live entertainment back to New Yorkers and help catalyze the reopening of Broadway concert halls in Buffalo.
