Samyang has revealed a new one 12mm F2.0 Lens for Sony shooters.
After releasing the 24mm F1.8 for the Sony E-mount, Samyang developed a new 12mm F2.0 lens. The Fast Prime is designed for APS-C sensors and offers the same aesthetics that we expect from Samyang as well as the affordable price.
The lens consists of 12 elements in 10 groups, including an ASP element, a hybrid ASP and three ED elements. It can reduce distortion while maintaining corner-to-corner sharpness. Samyang’s Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) has also been added to reduce ghosting and improve light transmission, contrast and color accuracy.
As with other Samyang lenses designed for the Sony E mount, the 12mm F2.0 supports Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF. A single linear stepper motor produces fast and effective AF when recording video or still images. The design allows for close focus at 7.48 “without changing length or rotating the front element.
The lens weighs only 7.51 ounces and is 2.33 inches long, which makes it a very light and compact lens. Optically, the lens offers a viewing angle of 99.1 ° and a minimum focusing distance of 7.48 inches. Video work. Samyang added a weatherproof seal when the environment isn’t ideal.
Expect that Samyang 12mm F2.0 arriving in June for $ 399.
Depending on where you live, the lens may be nicknamed Rokinon instead.
