The second wave of COVID has really hit India hard and showbiz remains one of the hardest hit industries. When things looked normal in early 2021, biggies like Salman Khan’s Radhe, John Abraham star Satyameva Jayate confirmed their arrival on their originally scheduled date. Unfortunately, the situation worsened in March. Surprisingly, Radhe opted for an Eid exit, while John’s film was reportedly postponed.
Conversely, the year 2021 was to witness one of the biggest clashes on Eid in the form of Salman Khan’s Radhe against John Abraham 2’s Satyameva Jayate. But as soon as the COVID situation started to s ‘worsen across the country, the clash was very important. a lot off the cards. And now, we could hear an official confirmation of the postponement of John’s film soon.
Unlike Radhe, the creators of Satyameva Jayate 2 are adamant that the film will only be released in theaters. They postponed the arrival of May 13, but the announcement of the new date is totally dependent on the COVID situation in India.
According to Mid Day, an insider said, “Even with the vaccination campaign underway, it will take some time for the situation across the country to normalize. The creators are committed to supporting the theater industry through their actor, and so have not pursued a conversation with OTT platforms on its digital premiere despite securing lucrative offers.
“In these unprecedented times, nothing matters more than the safety and health of our compatriots and our customers. Our film will now be released at a later date, ”reveals a source close to the development.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, Satyameva Jayate 2 also stars Divya Khosla Kumar alongside John Abraham.
