Overall, “Raya and the Last Dragon” is a complete package with something for everyone. It’s a fantastic, animated adventure for children, an inspiring young warrior princess, which defines female empowerment and a universally compelling emotional fabric.

All said and done, following a similar phrase of “keep something for everything”, this is not a film just for children. He talks about heartbreak, he always talks about confidence, he talks about the messy world but adding an almost perfect amount of Disney magic to it. Don’t miss it! Three and a half stars!

The five lands of Kumandra – Fang, Spine, Talon, Tail and Heart – are colored with the arts, myths and cultures of various countries in Southeast Asia. But it’s a love letter to the region more interested in summing them up through a Hollywood lens, rather than representing an authentic version of a country. What makes its usual Disney cocktail of moral messages and refreshing magic is that the studio is finally embracing representation beyond Western fairy tales and Chinese folklore. What’s even more refreshing is an original animated film that’s not another sequel or live update to a classic from the past.

Call it an act of repentance on Disney’s part for throwing Kelly Marie Tran under the bus, or call it another excuse for Alan Tudyk to make animal noises for a few hours in return for fairness, but nothing should. removing the fact that Raya and the Last Dragon is another step in the right direction for the House of Mice. And in a happy coincidence, it might just be the most “ irreparable ” film the studio has produced in some time.

This movie has everything we love and expect from a Disney movie. The animation is the best yet, the characters are well fleshed out, the fight scenes are breathtaking and the movie as a whole feels like a well-wrapped bag of goodies that’s sure to surprise you with something new each time you dive in. . While the experience of diversity is not as satisfying as on previous attempts like Moana or Coco, Disney pulls another magic trick with Raya and the Last Dragon that is sure to entertain both the kid sitting in the room. next to you and whoever is in you.
