EXCLUSIVE: Oscar-winning Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana have been added to the set for David O. Russell’s untitled New Regency film, joining previously announced stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington. Production is currently underway. The film is based on an original idea by Russell, although plot details are being kept under wraps.
New Regency’s Arnon Milchan is producing the photo alongside Matthew Budman and Anthony Katagas.
Malek, who won an Oscar for his performance as the late singer of Queen Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, play the supervillain in No time to die, the next James Bond film. He will soon be seen with Denzel Washington and Jared Leto in the drama Warner Bros. directed by John Lee Hancock The small things, is set to debut on HBO Max on January 29. Malek is replaced by WME and Brillstein Entertainment.
Saldana is replaced by CAA and LBI Entertainment. We will then see her resume her role of Neytiri in the upcoming second episode of Avatar franchise. She also returns as Gamora in Disney / Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and recently joined Jennifer Garner and Ryan Reynolds in The Adam project for Netflix and Skydance.
