Popular filmmaker Telugu Nag Ashwin is set to lead a sci-fi magnum opus with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. He is well known for directing the nationally awarded film Mahanati with Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni.

Apparently the film was announced last year and the film could not be released due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now the filmmaker is working on the pre-production of the film and it is being touted as a pan-Indian project. Scroll down to find out more.

Nag Ashwin’s magnum-opus is due out in July, according to the latest report. The filmmaker, in a conversation with Noon, said: “I had my series of meetings with the three separately. Pre-production has been going on for a long time. We will start filming around June-July. “

The director will also collaborate with Spanish cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and composer Mickey J Meyer for the upcoming film. The trio had previously collaborated on the 2018 film Mahanati. Interestingly, veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao also stepped in as a mentor for this magnum opus.

Previously, in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Nag Ashwin spoke of getting Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas a dream couple. He said, “It’s definitely a dream combination. I like the cast, but it’s about the story. In the end, these three people who play these three roles in the movie are exciting to me, more than the actors. My film will break all imagination records. “

The filmmaker also admitted that he liked the genre as he grew up watching these films. He is fascinated by mythologies and enjoys stories that involve magic and illusion.
