The gorgeous, long-lost Pooja Bhatt is back in the eminently engaging web series Bombay Begums on Netflix.

“And look at the coincidence. I have Rahul Bose as a co-star again in my comeback role. The last time I faced the camera it was for Everybody say I’m fine in 2002, which was with Rahul and directed by Rahul, ”Pooja laughs at life’s life’s vicissitudes during a long interview with me.

Without revealing the plot, suffice it to say that Pooja and Rahul share many intimate moments together. In fact, the appearance of Rahul Bose in Bombay Begums is almost a signal for some heavy PDA (private display of affection).

“Somehow our destinies are linked,” Pooja sighs.

Pooja recalls being offered a role in Rahul Bose’s directorial debut in 2011: “The last person who had the courage to throw me was Rahul Bose in Everybody say I’m fine. He gave me no choice. He’s my dearest friend. I told him how disillusioned I was about the business of film and fame. He offered me a role. I was appalled. “What kind of friend are you? I just told you that I am fed up with the industry and that you are offering me a role ??? !!! ‘He insisted that only I could play Tanya Everybody say I’m fine. But I’m so glad he insisted. I am indebted to him.
