Nushrratt Bharuccha rose to fame with his roles in the franchise “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” and “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety”. Stepping away from glamorous avatars, she also performed de-glam roles in “Chhalaang” and “Ajeeb Daastaans”.

Nushrratt says there is no conscious effort to switch roles she may have played before, adopting different characters.

“(There is) no conscious choice or effort in anything. Honestly, I know I’ve made a certain type of movie but I don’t see it that way. I take them as different characters, and I have to do the same kind of hard work to make them different from the previous films, which is even more difficult because the genre and principle are the same, but you think it’s different. , ”She told IANS.

The segment in “Ajeeb Daastaans” starring Nushrratt is titled “Khilauna,” and he co-stars Abhishek Banerjee and the child star Inayat Verma. “Khilauna” is directed by Raj Mehta. She plays a domestic helper in the short film.

“To do something different in a similar kind of thing is difficult. You don’t have to, but as an actor you think we’re going to do something new. As the diction in “Chhalaang” was interesting. So, I learned the diction just to add more realism to the character. I did the same to ‘Khilauna’, ”added Nushrratt.

“Ajeeb Daastaans” has four segments, the other stories being edited by Shashank Khaitan, Neeraj Ghaywan, and Kayoze Irani. The anthology also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul and Tota Roy Chowdhary.
