Punjabi actor Rana Ranbir took to social media and shared the news of his disappearance.

Punjabi artists like Gurdas Maan, Gippy Grewal, Master Saleem, Daler Mehndi and others have also shared their grief on social media.

Kapil Sharma, also close to Sardool Sikander, mourned the unfortunate disappearance.

Hindi artists like Vishal Dadlani, Harshdeep Kaur, Mika and many more also paid homage to the deceased soul.

Sardool Sikander was 60 years old and belonged to Patiala Gharana of music. He started his singing career in 1989 and sang hundreds of memorable songs. True, he sang all kinds of songs during his career, but his sad songs were especially loved by fans. He also acted in a few Punjabi films. Even though he no longer exists physically, his contribution to the music industry will always keep him alive. Let us remember some of his most beloved songs.

1) Khat Tukde Tukde

It has to be one of the biggest hits of his career. Sardool Sikander sang the beautifully written song by Mohammad Sadiq with such beauty. He sang it with all his heart. If words are enough to make you cry, her canorous voice takes you to another area.

2) Os Kudi Ne

When two people are in love, everything is beautiful. But things don’t take the time to get ugly after the breakup. Blessed are the souls who retain purity even after having lost everything in love. In this song, the boy finally realizes how the girl he thought he forgot never got over him. “By mainu dilo ni bhulaya os kudi ne”

Davinder Khanna’s words are divinely beautiful and Sardool Sikander’s haunting voice makes you submit to her. Even an emotionally strong person will cry after listening to this song.

3) Nazra to Gir Gayi

There was a time when “Nazra To Gir Gayi” was a song of all heartbroken Punjabi. The song is a perfect outlet for those who have just broken up with their loved one on a difficult note. “I unj girdi ta chuk lende, Nazra to gir gayi ki kariye”

4) Maut Vi Ni Aauni

The heart is considered to be one of the most tender things a human has been blessed with. And when you have a heart, the pain is not far away. “Dil hai to phir dard hoga, dard hai to dil bhi hoga” Do you remember? When two people fall in love with each other at a very young age and it doesn’t work out, the heart doesn’t know how to handle the pain.

In this immensely beautiful song, the lover tells his beloved not to love him so passionately. Because in the future, if he fails, he will not be able to bear the pain. He says he won’t even be able to die in his absence.

5) Jina De Roop Ne Sohne

Heer, Sohni and Sassi are three of the most admired legendary lovers in Punjab. While extremely gorgeous girls have taught generations to love, they have had very tragic lives.

In this song, the writer draws a parallel between the life of Heer, Sassi & Sohni that those who love physical beauty come with a bad spell. The song tells the girls of the new generation not to fall in love deeply as it could end up hurting them.

Needless to say, Sardool Sikander made the song epic with his vocals.

6) Saada Tere Kol Samaan

Sardool Sikander sang so many songs about breakups and love failures. Saada Tere Kol Samaan is still one of its jewels. The song is about how two lovers return all the gifts after a breakup. But there are things that cannot be returned.

“Bulla saadeya de haase modhne tu bhulli, saade pyaar da haseen ik daur vi pya a… saada tere kol samaan aje hor v pya a”

7) Ishq De Naam

Like I said above, love makes you feel like the most beautiful person in the world. But if that doesn’t work, the pain it causes is unbearable. Those who have love and who have lost know only where it hurts. However, love works in mysterious ways because no matter how badly it hurts so many times, people cannot resist falling in love.

In this song, the writer tells how love destroyed so many lives, but people don’t learn lessons. Another great song from Sardool Sikander.

We of course missed so many brilliant songs from the legend because it is not possible to talk about every one of his tracks. But you can write it to us in the comments section on your favorite Sardool Sikander song. RIP Legend!
