Ryan Murphy insisted he was still ‘committed’ to setting up a college fund for Naya Rivera’s son after the late actress’ father accused him of reneging on promises he made after his death .

Naya’s father George Rivera took to Twitter on Tuesday March 9 and claimed the Glee creator had not contacted Rivera’s family. He added that the writer had not materialized his plan to create a fund for his five-year-old son.

Responding to a tweet from a fan about Ryan Murphy’s joint statement with Glee co-creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, following the death of Naya Rivera, George wrote: “Everyone needs to know what Ryan Murphy really did… or didn’t !! ! I’m about to blow this story up…. and make sure he knows I know….

In the next tweet, Naya Rivera’s dad wrote, “When you’re in the Hollywood elite, some people treat others as ‘less than’…. vocalize a good game, but it’s as superficial as the stage sets they create. Promises made in public, to fade over time and with excuses…. even in an inexplicable tragedy… ”

“Broken promises… .. false contempt…. empty gestures… .. no phone call, ”he wrote in a third tweet.

When another fan asked, “Did they never open the trust fund for josey?” omg, “George replied,” Hahaaaa. “

An hour later, Ryan Murphy responded to the claims on his Twitter page. He insisted the trio planned to set up the fund for Naya’s child, Josey. He tweeted: “Myself, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are committed to creating an academic fund for Josey, the child of Naya Rivera, through the Naya Rivera Estate Trust,” he wrote. “We have had repeated conversations with the appropriate executors of his estate.”
