Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most beloved sitcoms on Indian television today. But due to the second wave of the pandemic hitting the country, the filming schedule for the series has stopped. Now lead actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who plays Natukaka in TMKOC, has explained how much those trying times touched him.

The actor in a recent chat revealed he’s been home for almost a month now after he last shot for the comedy series in March. Read on to find out all he had to say about it here.

In a conversation reported by Times Of India, Ghanshyam Nayak AKA Natukaka of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah said: “I have been away from home for over a month. There is no clarity as to when my track will begin because filming has stopped for now. The manufacturers have not made a decision to change the base either. I had shot for an episode in March and after that I’m home. I’m sure the creators will start my track soon and show how Natukaka comes back to Mumbai from the village.

Speaking of how he, a senior actor, is dealing with these difficult times, Ghanshyam Nayak said: “It is very difficult. I have been at home and my family also insist that I do not go out at all. But I’m dying to work and come back to the sets. How long will I live like this in isolation and away from my job? It’s difficult for senior actors because of the virus. I understand the safety protocols for senior actors, but my mind and body have to get up and work. “

When asked if the TMKOC filming location is likely to move to another city or something, the lead actor replied, “It depends on the creators. At the moment, I don’t know if the set is going to move or not. I hope I will start shooting for Taark in Film City soon. “

For all Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans, SAB recently shared a promo for the show where producer Asit Kumarr Modi calls Jethalal and tells him the good news. Since then, fans have speculated that this “ khush khabri ” could very well signify the return of Disha Vakani’s Dayaben to the series.
