Ana Isabelle has joined the cast of Roselyn Sanchez’s first feature film, Diario: Mujer y Cafe, which is expected to start production this summer in Puerto Rico.
Written by Sanchez, the female-centric comedy follows four best friends – known in high school as Fab Four – as they come together for an action-packed stay in Puerto Rico.
Isabelle will play Soledad Vega, a free-spirited and charismatic yoga studio owner full of surprises and leading a life without compromise. Having attended the infamous Bikram Choudhury’s workshop in Mexico, Sol will never understand why she did this Masters in Literature with English studies. In her personal life, the character is known as the loving mom of a teenage girl who looks more like her little brother than her son.
Diario is produced by Broken English Prods, with Latinx company’s sister business division, Grandave International, which wishes to present the comedy at the EFM. Broken English is part of entertainment finance company Grandave Capital, launched by cinema financier Preschutti last year, which has taken on projects as a third-party capital investor while investing in its young production arm Latinx. .
Isabelle will then be seen in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of West Side Story this december.
The actress is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency, Initiative Group and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
