The actresses behind MixedThe Johnson family have broken their silence on social media after ABC announced they would not be renewing the comedy for a third season.
Arica Himmel, who plays the younger version of Rainbow “Bow” Johnson by Tracee Ellis Ross, first posted her reaction to the news on Instagram. She remembered her time on the show, following in Ross’ footsteps and more.
“TI would like to thank our many loyal fans who have joined us every week for the past two years on our journey from town to the ‘burbs – it has been an amazing experience and I will miss my TV family more than you can imagine. ,” she said.
Tika Sumpter, who responded to the cancellation on Twitter and plays Alicia Johnson, thanked her fans and was eagerly awaiting new chapters.
“Thank you #MixedIsh fam! We love you so much and always will, ”she tweeted. “Forward and up.”
