Lawrence O’Donnell to interview Joe Biden ahead of town hall – Deadline

Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC will meet with White House President Joe Biden on Wednesday, followed by a town hall with the administration’s Covid-19 team.

The interview will be presented on Vaccinating America: An MSNBC Town Hall, Airs at 10 p.m. ET on MSNBC and streams on Noticias Telemundo’s digital platforms.

Since becoming president, Biden has interviewed Norah O’Donnell of CBS News, George Stephanopoulos of ABC News and Craig Melvin of NBC News.

The town hall will be held at Northern Virginia Community College, as directed by health officials and government regulations. Participants in this part of the event will be Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; The secretary for health and social services Xavier Becerra; and US Surgeon General Vivek Murphy. Vanessa Hauc of O’Donnell and Noticias Telemundo will be moderate. Kizzmekia Corbett, who helped develop the Moderna vaccine, with a focus on efforts to tackle vaccine reluctance, will also feature during this special.

Biden has set a goal of having 70% of Americans with at least one dose of the Covid vaccine by July 4, but a significant portion of the population is resisting taking the vaccines. The administration has attempted to counter disinformation about vaccine safety, with massive public health campaigns.
