Kevin Spacey is still trying to resolve professional misconduct allegations, but now he’s back to work.
In 2017, 20 men came forward accusing Kevin Spacey of sexual misconduct. Many more have come forward since then, including someone who said Spacey took advantage of him when he was only 14 years old.
Spacey had to resign House of cards and has been revised and re-included All the money in the world. It’s been four years and Spacey is still working on legal cases that are open in this and other investigations that have come to light. But he’s back to acting.
The Italian film L’Uomo che disegnò Dio ((The man who drew God) has set itself the goal of occupying Spacey. The film The film is directed by Franco Nero (79) and Nero’s wife Vanessa Redgrave (84).
In an interview with abc newsNero said, “I am very happy that Kevin agreed to be part of my film. I think he’s a great actor and I can’t wait to start the film. ”
Although Spacey did not post a comment, there is a lot to dissect here. In a free market, of course, anyone in a film can cast and work with whoever they want, as long as that person is not in jail.
The term “break off culture” appears frequently in these discussions. I think the nuance here is that Spacey didn’t make a Hollywood comeback. He’s making a little Italian film and people on the street say the role is small.
As disgusting as I think casting Spacey is at all, I’m glad no studio makes this mistake. Even so, it’s hard to believe he’s making this film to show that he can still act and to try to get back to Hollywood in limited capacity before becoming a star again.
It seems like they should wait until all of these allegations and cases are resolved if another major production is to give it a chance. There’s a very good chance he’s guilty of some heinous crimes! I wouldn’t want that to hang over my film.
