Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan shared his first photo on social media on Friday after his controversial release from Karan Johar’s upcoming production “Dostana 2”.

In the black and white Instagram photo, Kartik is wearing a mask that covers the entire lower half of his face. The close-up photo appears to have been clicked in winter, with the actor wearing a jacket and hood underneath. He stares intently at the camera as his long hair flows in all directions.

In a clear message urging fans to wear masks, Kartik Aaryan just dropped an emoji mask as a caption.

Fans were thrilled to hear from their favorite star, following the response in the comments section. “Finally you posted,” one fan wrote, while another felt the image gave off “superhero feelings”.

A user asked about the “Dostana 2” fiasco. “Itne time baad post kiya yaar (you posted after so long mate) I was so tense,” said another.

Earlier this month, Karan Johar’s banner, Dharma Productions, officially announced that Kartik would no longer star in their upcoming production “Dostana 2”. “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence, we are going to recast Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon, ”the announcement read.

Kartik Aaryan declined to comment on the matter.
