Well, it is. In fact, in 2013, Kareena Kapoor Khan even told PTI about the same. She said, “There’s no heroine like me who left more movies than me, and gave them on a set to everyone and said do it. I think I’m crazy… I’m like I don’t want to make a movie, I won’t. I would sit at home and enjoy, party and travel.

Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai
While everyone knows that Kareena Kapoor Khan made her Bollywood debut with Refugee (2000), the fact that it wasn’t meant to be her pitcher. Kareena was scheduled to debut alongside Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai as Sonia. The actress even started shooting for the film but decided to say goodbye to it halfway.
Apparently, she rejected the role because she thought it would not earn her any profit. She was then replaced by newcomer Ameesha Patel who became an overnight sensation. KNPH has become a huge success.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black was released in 2005 and was one of the best films of the year. The film was about a blind, deaf, and mute girl and her teacher who developed Alzheimer’s disease. While Rani Mukerji was trying out the role in the film, did you know that it was reported earlier offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan?

Kal Ho Naa Ho
Yes, Kareena Kapoor Khan was supposed to star in Dharma Productions’ Kal Ho Naa Ho, but said no for two reasons. This response of hers created between the actress and Kara Johar. In fact, in his autobiography, A Mismatched Boy, Johar wrote about it, saying Kareena Kapoor asked for too much money. He also added: “Mujhse Dosti Karoge! just released, directed by Kunal Kohli. She said: “Aditya Chopra’s assistant Kunal Kohli made this flop, so Karan Johar’s assistant Nikhil Advani is not trustworthy either.”
The film was then gifted to Preity Zinta and is still considered one of his best films.
Many of you may know that Kareena Kapoor Khan was Madhur Bhandarkar’s second choice for Heroine, but did you know she was his first choice for the head of fashion? Well, Kareena turns out to be a busy actress with a tough schedule, and that’s why she didn’t get to reprise this movie.
Madhur then pitched the idea to Priyanka Chopra, who immediately agreed to play the role. Priyanka even won a national award for her role.
Goliyo Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela
Kareena Kapoor Khan was ready to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali at Goliyo Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela and even signed up for the film. The actress even spoke to interviewers about her enthusiasm, but alas, she left the film even before filming began.
She chose to play instead in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. Deepika Padukone has replaced Kareena, and we’re happy to have been able to see her sizzling chemistry with now-husband Ranveer Singh on the big screen.
There was a strong buzz in the industry that Kareena Kapoor Khan was set to star in the lead female role in this Rohit Shetty film. But alas, Kareena decided to walk the other way because she didn’t have any dates to assign to this movie. The film ultimately played Deepika Padukone opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
But when Rohit Shetty was asked about the same thing, the director said, “I haven’t really (approached Kareena Kapoor Khan), she knows what I’m doing. I could do something else with Kareena.
As reported by Times Now, in 2019 Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed that she was offered the Queen and that she does not regret rejecting her. She added, “I never look back. If I said no to a movie, it’s because it didn’t suit me at the time. The last thing I would do is say no to someone for no reason.
The role was then tried out by Kangana Ranaut, and she rightly earned the title of “queen” for her performance. She even won the Best Actor (Female) award at the 62nd National Film Awards.
