The last lunch

Kanika Mann and the cast of Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega had their last lunch together. Speaking about the end of the show, Kanika Mann said, “I learned about it (the show was cut off) on December 31st and thought to myself, what a day to learn that your first show was ending. At first I was shocked, but I took comfort in thinking that the New Year will be a new beginning for me. I stayed positive. However, I couldn’t hold back my tears while filming the last scene. I just couldn’t find the courage to say these lines. That’s when it really started to sink in and I felt something was pulling away from me. What I am today is because of this show. I was new to the industry. With Guddan, who evolved from a jhalli ladki to a mother, I too grew as a person and an artist. Guddan is my baby. I’m so attached to it that I don’t know how long the feeling will last. However, I want to thank the audience for being our pillars of support and strength. I love you all.”
