Jayashree Ramaiah, Kannada actress and former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant, is no more. The actress was found dead at her Bengaluru residence on Monday January 25. Read on to find out more in detail below.
Jayashree’s untimely and unnatural death sent shockwaves through the Kannada film industry.
According to reports, Jayashree Ramaiah was found hanged in a room at her residence in Pragathi on the way to Magadi in the city. The actress was reportedly battling depression and killed herself late Sunday night. The actor’s body has currently been sent for post-mortem. Police have started to investigate the shocking death.
Jayashree Ramaiah grabbed the headlines last year when she shared an alarming post on Facebook. She wrote: “I quit. Goodbye to this f * cking world and depression. However, shortly thereafter, she posted another post on the social networking platform. In that post, she wrote, “I’m fine and safe !! Love you all.”
In a live session on July 25, Jayashree said, “I’m not doing all of this for publicity reasons. I’m not expecting financial help from Sudeep sir either. I only wait for my death because I am unable to fight depression. I am financially strong but depressed. I went through a lot of personal issues. I have been betrayed from childhood and I am unable to overcome it.
Jayashree Ramaiah made her acting debut with Uppu Huli Khara released in 2017. The film starred Malasri as the lead and was directed by Imran Sardhariya. She also starred in the Mahendra-directed film, Black. She became a household name in the south with her performance as a contestant in the third season of Bigg Boss Kannada.
