Jason Isaacs honors late Harry Potter wife Helen McCrory – Deadline

Jason Isaacs took to Twitter on Saturday to note the death and celebrate the life of his Harry potter co-starring, Helen McCrory.

In the film series, based on JK Rowling’s world-popular book series, Isaacs and McCrory played Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, the evil parents of the pure-blood Slytherin wizard and Harry Potter’s antagonist Draco. (Tom Felton).

“Decades ago Helen and I auditioned for a movie together. I came home and said to [my wife] Emma [Hewitt] “I think I just met the greatest actress I have ever seen,” recalls Isaacs. “After years of watching her mesmerize her audience, I don’t think… I know that anymore.”

Fortunately, the actor added, he would come to find that McCrory was also “scabrously funny, shockingly mean and with an empathetic heart the size of a planet.”

“As constantly star-struck as I was in the Harry Potter movies, being married onscreen and [giggling] with the great Helen McCrory will always be a highlight, ”he continued. “Her proudest achievement, however, was building and loving the family that was her foundation. They have lost so much and I send all my love to Damian and the children. Xxx “

Above his Twitter note, Isaacs added, “Hold the ones you love and tell them everyday. That’s all we have.

An award-winning actress in memoir for her significant contributions to film, television and theater, McCrory died in London on Friday. She was 52 years old.

McCrory’s husband, Billion Star Damian Lewis announced her death on Twitter, noting that she passed away peacefully at home, following a “heroic battle” with cancer.

“She died as she lived. Without fear, ”added Lewis. “God, we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Now go, little one, in the air, and thank you.

Between 2009 and 2011, McCrory starred with Isaac in three Harry potter films, of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince until the last film in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The actress is also remembered for her tours in the BBC crime drama Peaky Blinders, BBC and HBO Its dark materials, and the James Bond film franchise, among many other projects.
