Actress Jacqueline Fernandez showed up on Thursday to serve food amid the Covid crisis, and later in the day posted a video in which she is seen interacting with people from all over India trying help others cope with the pandemic.
Jacqueline’s initiatives are part of her You Only Live Once (YOLO) foundation, which she launched on Tuesday.
Posting photos on Instagram that show her serving food, the actress said she was “honored” to help. She performed her act of charity at the Roti Bank Foundation.
“Mother Teresa once said:“ Peace begins when the hungry are fed ”. I was truly honored and inspired to visit Mumbai @rotibankfdn today which is led by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Mr. D Sivanandan. The Roti Bank has prepared and distributed meals to millions of hungry people to this day, even during the pandemic. They are the perfect example of what #kindnessbrigade aspires to do and I am honored to be of service to them in these times. We only live once! Let’s make this life worth it by helping others in need and sharing the #storiesofkindness of those around us! ” she wrote.
Jacqueline will also distribute masks and disinfectants to Mumbai police and help feed stray animals.
Later that day, the actress posted a video in which she can be seen interacting with people who are trying others to deal with the Covid situation in the country.
Sharing snippets of the interaction, she wrote, “Yolo’s ‘Sharing Kindness Stories’ had an amazing conversation with these 100 inspiring Covid Warriors who decided to help in their own way! There is no small act of kindness, every act adds to something much bigger! Thank you for taking the time to speak to the Yolo Foundation and for motivating us to do more in our own way. Please tag us in your kindness stories and help spread the love !! “
