Jack Reynor to headline Amazon series – Deadline

Jack Reynor leads over Chloë Grace Moretz and Gary Carr in The ringroad, The upcoming Amazon Original Series from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films.

The sci-fi drama thriller was created by Scott B. Smith. Based on William Gibson’s best-selling novel, it’s described as a dazzling and mind-boggling glimpse into the fate of humanity – and what lies beyond.

The book centers on Flynne (Moretz) and his brother Burton (Reynor). In the novel, Burton, a veteran of the elite United States Marine Corps Haptic Recon force, is hired for a security post that takes place in what he believes to be cyberspace. When Flynne temporarily takes her place, she witnesses something that could have been murder.

The ringroad is produced by Amazon Studios and Warner Bros Television, in association with Kilter Films. Executive producers are Smith, director Vincenzo Natali, Nolan and Joy, Athena Wickham and Steven Hoban. Greg Plageman is an executive producer and showrunner.

Reynor recently co-starred opposite Florence Pugh in A24 Middle, directed by Ari Aster. He is currently co-starring in Anthony and Joe Russo cherry opposite Tom Holland and in season 2 of the Amazon anthology series Modern love. Reynor wrote and directed a short film, Bainne, with Will Poulter, who won the award for Best Debut Dramatic Short Film at the Galway Film Festival. He also starred alongside Felicity Jones in Based on gender and in the CBS All Access series Strange angel.

Reynor is replaced by WME and Macfarlane Chard.
