Arjun Kapoor is heading to Goa to start filming “Ek Villain 2”. The actor says he’s dying to collaborate with filmmaker Mohit Suri again after “Half Girlfriend”.
“I’m dying to collaborate with Mohit again and we had an amazing time during ‘Half Girlfriend’ (which was) a very different movie for me,” Arjun said.
“He gave me the best music of my career and I always say this to my friends and people around me that apart from Aditya Chopra, who believed in me so much, I know Mohit is working with me again because ‘he always believed in me, ”the actor added.
Arjun wants to start making action films again.
“I really want to get back to the action big, and I want to experience working with Mohit on such a great movie,” he said.
The film is a sequel to the 2014 hit “Ek Villain”, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor. Arjun aside, the sequel stars John Abraham, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani.
“Doing a sequel, doing a franchise and being able to work with an ensemble cast is a big deal. As a director he was able to bring together John, Me, Tara, Disha and, of course, some striking music, ”said Arjun.
“I look forward to, out of pure excitement as a child, the kind of music he will give me. I have to say I was very lucky to have had Ishaqzaade and Two States but the music of Half Girlfriend, be it Baarish or Phir bhi tumko chaahunga – I really feel like I was lucky, ”said the actor.
Arjun can’t help but gush about Suri and his films. “I loved Awarapan. I always tell her it’s one of the best movies for me, her most underrated movie. He’s a great guy to work with. He’s so young with his thinking and he lets you be and he’s still mainstream. I think this balance is important, ”the actor said.
