Sanjay Dutt has one of the craziest stories in Hindi cinema. His transformation from a young drug addict to an actor was only an inspiration. Today we are going to talk about the time when the Munna Bhai actor was on LSD and was called by his father, Sunil Dutt to his office. Read on for the scoop below.
LSD is an acid that makes you hallucinate after taking the drug for awhile and makes you sluggish, fuzzy too.
It was then that Rocky’s prep was in full swing, and it was Sanjay Dutt’s dad, Sunil Dutt, who was directing the film himself. According to The Print, the Munna Bhai actor recalled the incident and how little his father knew about his son.
Sanjay said, “’I had jumped in acid, LSD. This is called the purple haze. It hits you after a while. “Actor Agneepath was sitting alone in his room, waiting for the medicine to kick in and suddenly the house phone rang. It was from his father Sunil’s office and he wanted to meet him urgently.
Sanjay Dutt couldn’t refuse not to go to his office, as Sunil Dutt wanted to discuss something regarding the set of Rocky.
As soon as he arrived at his father’s office, drugs began to appear. Remembering that night, Sanjay said, “So daddy talks to me and [the LSD] suddenly hit me. He is talking to me and I could hear “waannrr.” . . einn [gibberish]! Now I’m like, “Sanju, you’re tripping. Go slowly. Just keep nodding your head. So I kept on nodding and heard it like “aannoonn.” . . aann [gibberish]! ”
Sunil Dutt who was sitting across the table seemed frustrated that the Rocky actor was not paying attention to the conversation. Sanjay was in a mid-hallucination when, “Suddenly I see a wig come out of his head and that wig caught fire.” . . And I look at him and think about what’s going on, man!
Sanjay Dutt couldn’t hold him inside after thinking his father was on fire and said, “Daddy started to melt like wax. He was like a candle. The actor “ dived on him ” and tried to “ tighten his face ”. He shouted, “Daddy! Dad! Don’t die of me. Does not melt.
Her father couldn’t understand what was going on and started shouting in Punjabi, “Ki hoya. . . ki hoya yaar single naked puttar? [What’s happened? What’s happened to my son?]Sanjay added, “At that time, no one knew what these things were. There were no treatment centers. My father didn’t know, my sisters didn’t know, my friends didn’t know. No one knew what this powder is.
The part of this story was shown in Sanju which starred Ranbir Kapoor as the lead and was based on the life of Sanjay Dutt and Paresh Rawal played his father Sunil Dutt.
