Will Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark get a makeover? (PC: Imdb)

If there’s one superhero the world is emotionally connected to, it must be Iron Man, aka Tony Stark. Robert Downey Jr, since taking over the torch, has given the superhuman a human side that has touched the right chords with the public. But now, if the latest reports are to be believed, Marvel Gods is recasting the game, and it’s shocking news but with a catch.

It wasn’t an easy job to witness the climax of Avengers: Endgame which took away the most beloved mentor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Robert Downey Jr was aware of the rage his character has become and won the heaviest paycheck for Infinity War and the Endgame saga. But while fans can’t see anyone else in the role, the latest updates indicate that the studio is now in the process of physically reshaping the character. Below you will find everything you need to know about the same.

If a report in We Got This Covered is to pass, Marvel Gods is on the hunt for a new Tony Stark but a younger version. We told you there is a catch. There is no clarity on the project that the casting is done for. Whether it’s a movie or a series, but what the strong speculation is that a young Tony Stark is wanted to put himself in Robert Downey Jr.’s shoes.

Now, if you know, the studio previously had Robert Downey Jr play a younger version of Tony Stark aka Iron Man in the universe of Captain America: Civil War. The actor, with the help of prosthetics and makeup, was aged. As the studio looks to recast the role, one wonders how fans will react in the future.

Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr has been supposed to return as Tony Stark aka Iron Man time and time again. The actor had refused such rumors last year. Speaking to Hindustan Times, he said, “Playing Tony / Iron Man was tough and I dug deep. I had an amazing 10 year run that was creatively satisfying, I did everything I could with this character, and I can do other things now. Now, being middle aged, you start looking at the last nine and you realize that this is all part of the journey, and things come to an end. I am lucky and eternally grateful that I got to where I am.
