The newbie is talking about Kashmir in the spotlight lately, for a new set of talent emerging from the state. TV stars Hina Khan, Asim Riaz and Aly Goni, who have become household names on ‘Bigg Boss’, are from the region, as is Danish Renzu. director of the popular new film “The Illegal”.
He believes that it is the tumultuous situation and the conflicts that prevail in the region that often prevent the Kashmiris from pursuing their dreams.
“Kashmir itself is absorbed in art and culture. It is only the situations and conflicts that exist that have dominated people, (preventing them) from pursuing their dreams. But I think slowly everything changes, ”Ehan told IANS.
Renzu, for his part, is someone whose success makes him proud. “The Danish (Renzu) is a great friend. His film was listed for the Oscars. Then you have Ehan… I hope people will be inspired by our presence in Bollywood and follow the trail that we have followed and be part of this industry as well, ”he said.
He hopes to be a role model for his community. “I get a lot of direct messages from Kashmir asking me what are the ways to be in Bollywood. If all goes well, I can be their role model, for my community, for the Kashmiris, ”said the aspiring actor.
Ehan is a talent discovered by Rahman, and the newcomer is fascinated by the Oscar-winning composer.
“Since I was a kid, I was a fan of (AR Rahman). I had his cassettes and CDs. I have been a fan of Monsieur all my life. I hoped that one day I would enter this profession and I hoped that one day I would make a film in which Rahman monsieur would make music, ”he said.
Ehan continued, “How I didn’t know I would get a movie produced by Rahman sir and with music and a story by him! It’s a dream come true for any newbie actor. Once you meet him in person, you will be mesmerized by him. I am overwhelmed. “
