“I don’t remember how many times I broke down” – Parineeti Chopra explains how she tapped into the painful chapters of her life to deliver this performance in The Girl On The Train: Bollywood News

Internationally successful thriller The girl on the trainParineeti Chopra’s Hindi adaptation under the same name makes all the noise thanks to the acting performance of Parineeti Chopra. In the trailer that was released, Parineeti promises to deliver a knockout performance to the public and she garnered high praise from the media and industry.

She explains how she had to face her painful life experiences to play this role and how it took everything away from her. “I am honored with the response I received for my work in The girl on the train. I donated my blood, sweat and tears and tapped into the most intimate traumatic memories of my life to bring this character to life. I don’t remember the number of times I broke down on sets because I was exploiting memories that I intentionally buried deep in my mind and in my heart, ”reveals the actress.

The versatile actress says she never intended to face these painful chapters in her life. She says, “I never wanted to see these incidents and these problems again, but I had to do it for this film. After reading the incredibly brilliant script for the film, I realized that in order to be able to pull off this character, I would have to go deep into the crevices of my buried past and face a lot of pain in my personal life, to show that girl’s ( Mira) character and travels efficiently and authentically on screen. “

The acclaimed book was turned into a Hollywood movie starring Emily Blunt in 2016. In the Bollywood version, Parineeti Chopra plays the eponymous girl on the train, a divorced alcoholic, who becomes involved in a missing person investigation and discover deeper secrets.

Parineeti says: “This movie took me to hell and back because it was not easy to constantly think about my past and constantly keep myself on the lookout before making a shot so intensely physically and emotionally charged. . It broke me several times.

However, she is happy that her emotional journey to effectively play her role on screen is unanimously appreciated. She says, “All the tears that I cried, all the long hours of soul-searching that I did, seem to have paid off because people loved our strengths and everything they saw of my performance. I can’t wait to show them the movie and see their reaction to our labor of love.

The girl on the train will have a direct digital premiere February 26 on Netflix. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
