English actor Matthew Lewis has expressed his frustration that he is still primarily recognized as Neville Longbottom, the character he played in the “Harry Potter” films.

“To some extent, I’m always a little frustrated when people say, ‘Oh, he is (Neville Longbottom).’ For example, I do this show by the minute and a lot of the headlines are, “He’s not Neville Longbottom anymore”. It’s like, “I haven’t been like that for 10 years”. I’ve done things that have been so different, ”said Matthew Lewis in an interview on the“ Inside Of You ”podcast, reported by

“For example, I’ve been in dramas that have won BAFTAs and done all of that stuff. I’m not bragging – it’s like I’ve done all of these things and like 10 years later, it’s still like people say that I kind of jumped from Harry Potter to this and that I completely ignored the trip it took. over there, ”added the 31-year-old actor.

Matthew Lewis played Neville Longbottom in all eight films in the “Harry Potter” franchise, and regrets the fact that he likely won’t be known for doing anything else.

“It can be frustrating – not that I’m frustrated with anything to do with Harry Potter – but it’s like you have that voice in your head that says, ‘Hey, you know how much work you have. done the past 10 years, no one I’ve seen it. Nobody cares.’ They still think it’s the first job you’ve done since Harry Potter, ”said Matthew Lewis.
