Hugh Jackman took to Twitter on Saturday, pleading for his appearance in Deadpool 3 via a New York police officer.
In a 34-second clip, we watch from the perspective of the Oscar-nominated actor, as he is approached by an officer named John Dobkowski. When Jackman realizes he has no problem with the law, he decides to have a bit of fun, continuing a friendly “feud” with dead Pool star Ryan Reynolds who has been going on for years.
“Hey, Ryan. You must have this guy [Jackman] in Deadpool 3, even if it’s for a ten minute cameo. That would be great, ”Jackman told Dombrowski. “This movie will be so cool, so awesome, it will blow up the box office.”
Dombrowski concludes his post with a false threat to coerce Reynolds when he comes to New York, if he doesn’t comply with the request.
“Agent Dobkowski gives some incredibly smart career advice for @VancityReynolds,” Jackman wrote in the video. “To share is to love.”
Premiere in 2016, dead Pool introduced a devious mercenary of the same name, played by Reynolds, who seeks revenge, after a science experiment gone wrong leaves him permanently changed. Garnering a major fan base, as well as critical praise, the box office success was followed in 2018 by Deadpool 2.
Last November, Deadline was the first to tell you that Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin are writing the screenplay for Deadpool 3, which is still in development.
We’ll have to wait and see if Jackman gets a cameo against his longtime friend Reynolds in the Marvel threequel. For now, however, his Twitter request can be found below.
