Gurmeet Choudhary joins forces with young doctors and launches free tele-consultation service for COVID-19 patients

Just when you thought Gurmeet Choudhary has done everything for people with COVID-19, he’s pushing his envelope even further. Gurmeet has now partnered with a team of young doctors (pan India) or as they are now called, Covid Warriors to launch Covi-Med, a free teleconsultation service for isolated patients at home with mild to moderate symptoms so that ‘they don’t panic, they don’t treat you, and most importantly, they don’t have to leave their home for immediate help. He has linked up with 19 young doctors across the country who will be available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. via two numbers on Whatsapp Messenger for any doubts related to COVID-19.

Not only will the team of doctors provide a medical consultation, but they are also armed with knowledge on how to deal with the anxiety that accompanies testing positive for Covid-19, an illness that may have taken hold of the world but be cured at home. in isolation if the right care and medication is given for mild cases.

The Covi-Med team of doctors will consult via two operational WhatsApp numbers. Once the patient sends a message, they will be asked for their contact details and medical history and a licensed practitioner will call them back as soon as possible. They will advise and treat mild to moderate symptoms of covid patients in home isolation, provide medical advice in the event of hospitalization, deal with all mental health issues, provide post-Covid care and follow-up, in addition to advice from a psychiatrist every week more followed.

Covi-Med currently has around 19 doctors on its team and many are still volunteers, a few nurses have also volunteered to help with follow-up. The team of doctors behind this initiative with Gurmeet Choudhary headlining are Dr Rupraj Abhishek, Dr SH Warsi, Suchitra Verma and Dr Rajshree to name a few.
