Giuliana Rancic is stepping down as the host of the red carpet cover of E! After almost two decades. The E! A veteran made the announcement in an Instagram post on Friday.
“After 20 fabulous years hosting the red carpet at E !, I decided to step out of my red carpet heels for a new pair of shoes,” she wrote.
Rancic’s announcement comes three months after his longtime co-host Ryan Seacrest left E! Live from the red carpet after almost 14 years. Rancic is in the process of making a deal with E! NBCUniversal parent, she said.
“One of my passions is great storytelling and I’m excited to announce a new development agreement with the parent company of E! NBCUniversal, where I will produce and bring stories to life, ”she wrote. (See his full announcement below.)
Rancic started his career at E! as a correspondent and became co-host of E! News in 2005. She briefly left the show from 2015 to 2018, and then again when the show moved from Los Angeles to New York in January 2020.
On E !, Rancic recently ran the cover of the Oscars red carpet. In September, she had to pull out of E! ‘S Emmy red carpet special! At the last minute after testing positive for Covid-19.
During her tenure at E !, Rancic faced controversy over the comments she made about Zendaya’s dreadlocks on Fashion font, for which she apologized.
