Gal Gadot forced to disable comments on controversial tweet – Deadline

Wonder woman Actress Gal Gadot tweeted today what she believed to be a message of unity regarding the ongoing conflict over the Israel-Hamas rocket attacks.

Instead, she started her own online war, as critics accused her of being a “propaganda” tool for Israel, given her past military service there.

The comments became so vitriolic that Gadot eventually turned them off while leaving his post.

Gadot, a former Israeli Defense Forces fighter, posted on Twitter that her “country is at war” and recounted how her “heart breaks” during the conflict.

“Israel deserves to live as a free and secure nation,” Gadot tweeted. “Our neighbors deserve the same. I pray for the victims and their families. I pray that this unimaginable hostility will end, I pray that our leaders find the solution so that we can live side by side in peace.

Gadot, 36, said: “It’s a vicious cycle that has gone on for too long.”

Given the polarizing nature of the situation, the reactions of some users have been particularly angry, insulting Gadot for his support of “ethnic cleansing” and “mass genocide,” among other beards.

Despite the bitterness, some supporters admitted that Gadot called for peace and should not be attacked.

“The Internet is angry with Gal Gadot because she is a former IDF fighter, in whom all Israelis are required to serve for at least two years, and had the audacity to share a heartwarming message for peace in the conflict. Lots of disgusting people in his answers ”, a man wrote.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz also backed Gadot, writing “God bless @GalGadot.”
