One of the youngest stars around, Tiger Shroff has enjoyed a loyal following for a few years now and has therefore rightfully earned the label of Mr. Consistent. What started as a dream trip with Heropanti 7 years ago is taking pretty good shape with blockbusters like War and Baaghi 2 to its name and even Baaghi 3 getting by well before the pandemic hits. Let’s take a look at the biggest producers of Tiger Shroff and expectations for the next Heropanti 2, Ganapath – Chapter One and Rambo releases.
War – 318 crores
It was indeed a “dhamakedaar” affair for the actor, which with War turned out to be a three-century affair. With Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff sharing the same image, the movie was sizzling from the moment it was announced. The actor made sure that despite being older in the film, he made his presence felt, and how. He did well both as a protagonist and as an antagonist.
Baaghi 2 – 166 crores
This has shaken the industry, and how. Tiger Shroff had two back-to-back under-performers behind him in the form of Munna Michael and A Flying Jatt. Still, his producer Sajid Nadiadwala made sure director Ahmed Khan had all the resources to make him a biggie. No wonder Baaghi 2 got off to a record start and eventually broke the 150 crore mark.
Baaghi 3-95 crores +
Baaghi 3 was the star of Tiger Shroff to release who, despite fear of the corona virus, managed to find an audience until theaters opened. Especially on simple screens and indoors, Sajid Nadiadwala’s production performed quite well. The film unfortunately missed the 100 Crore Club but has now performed quite well on the satellite and digital circuits.
Baaghi – 77 crores
It was the film that started it all when it came to the young star’s general public. After Heropanti, Tiger Shroff took a few steps ahead as Baaghi ended up doing nearly 50% more business than his first affair. This time around, the action was on a whole new level. The audience also gave their approval and the film turned out to be a superhit.
Student of the year 2-73 crores
The film was not received as warmly as the Student of the Year. Still, the second installment almost managed to surpass the lifetime total. [70 crores] stars of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. The film featured Tiger Shroff as a rather vulnerable student, which fans didn’t really like after his heroic act in Baaghi 2 before that.
Heropanti – 53 crores
It was a “heroic” start for Tiger Shroff as producer Sajid Nadiadwala decided to launch it with Heropanti, an action musical love story. While his father Jackie Shroff had become famous with Hero, it was only fitting that Tiger was seen on screen with Heropanti. It started well at the box office, stayed good too, and then ended as a comfortable theatrical success.
Heropanti 2 – To be published
Life returns pretty much in its full turn for Tiger Shroff as he would see it next in Heropanti 2. While this is not a sequel to his first film, it is intended as a much larger second installment of the franchise by the producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Director Ahmed Khan, who directed Baaghi 2 and Baaghi 3 with Tiger Shroff, has something exciting up his sleeves for the actor.
Rambo – To be published
Although announced some time ago, we wait to see how Rambo forms once he takes to the ground. Director Sidharth Anand previously worked with Tiger in War and gave him an important role in the biggie Aditya Chopra. Now, with Rambo, it’s safe that something bigger and better is planned for the action artist, an official remake of the Hollywood hit.
Ganapath: Chapter One – To be published
Only the animated poster of the Tiger Shroff star created some buzz in industry circles, especially since the film also brings him back with his co-star Heropanti Kriti Sanon. The film would be directed by Vikas Behl who last delivered a hit with Hrithik Roshan in Super 30. As for Tiger, he would be seen as a smart street boxer in sports drama.
